What do you think about changing the FF.com look?

Try this link: http://www.fenrichfamily.com/index.php?theme=BasicWEB

Brad,

It's not that I don't like the changes that I would vote NO, but that one of the things people comment on when I show them this site is the beautiful collage on the right of the title bar. You are probably going for a cleaner, less cluttered look, but I would miss that a great deal. Just my opinion.

On the other hand, the subtle (and the not-so-subtle) changes that you have been making to the aesthetics of the site are good. The arrangement of the Forum Categories is better. I like the games, even though I don't play them. As I have said before, I check the "Latest News" categories every day.

I think if you don't plan to fix the calendar so that we can add events to it, you might as well take it out and display the date in another way. I would prefer that you fix it so that people can see who's having a birthday, anniversary, or whatever.

That's my two cents worth, and that's probably about what it's worth.

I would assume that we could add the collage to the new format, but am not in favor of a new "look".

When the site was first created (as you well know) great care was taken to make it as user friendly as possible, and easy on the eyes. I STILL love the way our family website looks.
Another reason for NOT changing the looks is the old familiararity issue... someone not so web savy may find the right place - but it doesn't look the same - so they move on.

I DO appreciate you always attempting to breathe new life into this site. Keep it up. I also appreciate you posting a poll... Let's see what others have to say - who knows?

No new tricks for this old dog.
