Great photos, Cheryl. I know I owe you some. I am trying desperately to figure out how to adapt to a new schedule. I saw an orthopedist a few weeks ago and he says the best way to deal with my arthritis is to get in better shape and one way is to do water aerobics. So, I have been going 3 or 4 nights a week to work out for 45 minutes in the water. They assure me that I will feel a lot better in about 6 months or so :)
Anyway, I never did get to the Farmer's Market. I did get pictures of two of my grandkids and Jim on Halloween that I need to send. I also wanted to get pictures of the lunar eclipse because it was so cool looking when it turned into a "blood moon" but Tom said it wouldn't turn out, so he didn't take any.
This weekend for sure,
Love,
Sharon

OOPs, hit send too soon. I also meant to say that camping is only for the stout-hearted here in Michigan at this time of year. Most of the camping is deer-camping. Not for me, but I like to get out the "Escanaba in da Moonlight" dvd and laugh my rear-end off at those deer hunters. They also play a song called "Two Weeks of Deer Camp" on the radio which is really a hoot too.

Don't worry Sharon, you have contributed so very much to our family website. I know when you can find the time you'll submit some photos!
Sorry to hear you have arthritis... no fun at all! That's quite an exercise schedule to commit too, but I have heard that water aerobics do wonders for arthritis... not to mention all the other great benefits the exercise will do for your body and soul. Actually, I'm glad to see you taking some time for yourself!
I disagree with your doctor about the time frame though - I think you will start seeing results much sooner.
Also, you may want to start taking Glucosamine and Condroiten (a vitamin combination). This works miracles, but does take a month or so to see the results.
Glad you liked the camping photos... I know I have heard about the deer-hunter comedians before. I think my brother Donald listens to these guys. What are their names, or comedy group? He has just raved about this comedy, but I have never heard it. Are they Canadian's? Fill me in or send a link if you get a chance!
Keep up the good work with your swimming!

I am taking Glucosamine and Chondroitin three times a day.
I am actually feeling a little more limber and find that I need to go to the Y or I get locked up! The arthritis is in my left knee, left hip, and lower back, but it is mild to moderate right now. That's why I am trying to help myself. As long as I don't start watching TV shows that I don't want to miss, I will be able to keep it up. Sometimes life gets in the way too, like conferences for school or other things, but I will certainly try.
I don't know who the comedians are, but the movie "Escanaba in da Moonlight" is written and directed by Jeff Daniels (he's from Chelsea, MI) and takes place up nort' in Meechegan. Check out www.escanabathemovie.com to watch a trailer from the movie.

Just viewed the trailer... looks pretty funny. I'l see if Blockbuster has it and check it out tonight.
Ron's grandmother (Rosalie Stoner is almost 90 and is fit as a fiddle) has a cure for arthritis that has been passed down through the generations. It's gross... but it does work.
EVERY morning, mix 1 T. cod liver oil with 1 c. orange juice and gulp it down.

The camping photos are great Cheryl. It looks like Ron caught a whale!
If you want to go the drug route for joint pain Sharon, ask your doc for Celebrex. It works wonders. Excercise is a great relief too. I'm sure Grandma Stoner's remedy works, but I'm too chicken to try it. Barf!
Donald played a funny deer hunting CD for me titled "Tirdy Point Buck" - it's very funny. He takes his hunting seriously and went out on opening day, but didn't get his "Tirdy Point Buck"
Got Josh Groban's new CD Sharon. Thanks for letting me know about it.

I think in the old days they thought taking a "physic" was the cure for everything. I remember our grandmother giving me Ex-lax when I had a cold! She also would put Vicks on a Q-Tip and swab my nose; I really hated that.
The exercise helps a great deal. I will ask the doctor about the Celebrex, but I thought I heard that you can't take it if you have high blood pressure (which I do). As long as I don't become interested in early evening TV, I'll be fine. My boss told me today that she can see that I am slimming down some! I know my clothes are getting a little looser, but I would do it just because my knee and hip feel so much better.
Glad you got the Josh CD; great isn't it?

Hi Sharon...it's Don; Sat, 06Dec03 at 4:45 PM.
Just looked at your photoshare uploads...they look fine. The photos of the headstones are very clear.
I wonder who else in this wide world of ours will take a peek and say, "Wow...that must be GGGrandfather McDonnell who went to the Colonies."
I hope you get tons of response...let me know if you do. I've got a few of the LOWE Family in Cuttawa, KY. (still don't know how they get the phonetic pronunciation "CUT TOY" out of that word.)

Thanks for checking Don. I wonder if anyone other than registered members of the site can look at them. Patricia McDonald Bern, who contacted Brad, who in turn contacted you about Tom's relatives would certainly like to see them. She is in Belfast and they have been emailing quite a bit the past few days.
I remember a couple of years ago when Aunt Shirley was up here visiting Debbie and Nan had a craft night at her house and Debbie and Aunt Shirley came. I was scrapbooking that night and had photos from the Doom Chapel Cemetery that I was doing a page for and Aunt Shirley told me the correct pronounciation for Kuttawa then (as I had mispronounced it of course) and I wondered the same thing you did.
