Against our better judgement and despite protests by many family members, we held our talent show on Saturday, September 6, 2003.
I have posted an album with some of the highlights and Lowelights. Click on PhotoShare and find my album there.

I can only view one photo of the album... I will ask Brad why the other images can't be viewed. Can you see them? I beleive when you create the album, you have to set the permissions for all to view.
I'll check into it. Thanks for sending them and I can't wait to view them.

I am able to view the photos now... sure looks like a lot of fun! Too bad we don't like closer as we really could contribute to a no-talent show ourselves!
Great photos, thank you for sharing them Sharon. And thank you Brad for the Photoshare feature! I love the way you see them as a slide show... very cool!

I was able to view all the "no talent" contest photos. This looks like so much fun, sure wish we could join in. Didn't know about your Dad's ability to write in mirror image. He was such a smart guy! Looks like Sandy has taken on his talent in this area.

Not living close shouldn't be an excuse for missing the talent show! Sandy's housemate, Marty, did a talent by proxy for her niece who lives in California. Amelia mailed her Aunt Marty a book she had written and illustrated (she is 6 years old, by the way) and Marty read excerpts from it for us.
We are trying to get Dave and Nina to mail a tape for us to play because they have missed the last two years.
So, if the feeling strikes you next year and you can't fly in for the real deal, we would be happy to accept your display of talent (or lack thereof) using any medium you deem acceptable.
Love,
Sharon

That's a great idea! No Talent By Proxy (NTBP). We'll have to give it a try.

I was just viewing the photos of the Lowe-to-No Talent contest again (located in the PhotoShare section, under Family Favorites) and have to ask it... What on earth is "Wieners, Clapsters..." Am I missing out on some fun game or song? Please, please fill me in!

OY! How can I explain this children's game? You toss a ball up in the air, or against a wall (inside or outside the house, or garage) each time you utter one of the following phrases:
Weiners
Clapsters
Twirl-about
To-backsters
High-setee
Low-setee
Touch my knee
Touch my toe
Touch my heel
Under we go (with this last phrase, you must toss the ball into the air from under your knee)
You can't drop the ball or you lose.
Sounds silly, huh? If Dad was home, we couldn't throw the ball against the house under pain of God knows what he might come up with!
