Added 10 pictures of the Boone and Bullock families to the PhotoShare. These people are related to the Lowes via Phyllis Virginia Johnstone Lowe. Her mother was Adah Beatrice Boone, whose mother was Gertrude Bullock. Phyllis' grandfather, William Bernard Boone, had a photo album with about two thirds cartes d'visite (cdvs) and about one third tintypes. I added 46 images from this album in a sub-album.

These are just fantistic old photos... where on earth did you find this album? I am curious as to why people from this period did not smile when being photographed. Does anyone know why this is? I also think one of the photos looks like Colleen Lowe Fenrich as a young woman. Can you guess which one?

Is it maybe cdv 21 or cdv 22? I don't see much resemblance, but you have a better eye for that.
