Moderate exercise such as half an hour of brisk walking five times a week is unlikely to prevent an early death from heart disease, say researchers.
Current UK guidelines recommend 30 minutes of moderate physical activity on at least five days of the week to ward off premature death.
But a new study published today said moderate exercise such as a brisk walk five times a week has no impact on the risk of dying from heart disease.

This is interesting... I thought my walks at dog beach were improving my health! Guess I better start running up & down the hills instead of gabbing with my friends.
Still think a brief walk around the block is better than sitting on the couch eating Ronda's home made strawberry cheesecake... but not nearly as fun.

Oh no! Does this mean I should stop my morning walk? Just wait for a new study to contradict this one. Should be published any time now. Researchers can't make up their minds.
