Rated highly by computer magazines and genealogical magazines and websites. I have it and find it very easy to use and powerful in its ability to create many reports, charts, and trees. I don't know what its data capacity is, but I have in excess of 1,600 records and lots of notes, pictures, and sources cited and it hasn't slowed down a bit. I love it.

This article comes from the April 2001 edition of the Kentucky Explorer magazine. I didn't know of its existence until I read a posting by Ernest Grand on the Doom Family Genealogy Forum noting that there was a great deal of information there. Indeed there is and pictures too! Did you know that Benjamin Doom is credited with building the kitchen and living quarters of the mansion commonly known to Kentuckians as "My Old Kentucky Home?" Lots of other interesting historical facts in this article.

This site contains maps of the county lines of KY and how they changed over the years 1784 through 1834. This is helpful for lots of reasons like finding where your relatives may have lived. Sometimes it looks like they were born in one state and moved to another, when actually the state and county borders may have changed.

This site was pointed out to me by Tamara Kincaide. She told me that Marsha has been collecting and publishing lots of genealogical data about births, marriages, deaths, wills, tombstone inscriptions, etc. and much historical data about the county. It is a wealth of information for those researching Lowe, Carnahan, Floyd, and Bethel surnames.

This site has a lot of cool stuff on it. Tamara is a volunteer for the USGen Web Project (like myself). She is transcribing tombstones in the various cemetaries in Warrick County, Indiana. She gave me permission to put this link in here and to publish the Lowe and Floyd families names and cemetaries where they are interred. A great big thanks to Tamara for filling in lots of gaps in my family tree information.
