I just thought I would try out the new module that allows us to attach images from PhotoShare to our Submit News articles. I saw the links about writing good headlines, and as a professional technical writer was curious about where these links would take me. The "Writing for the Web" link took me to an article written by Catherine Titta of ArborComm. Catherine is the immediate past president of the Society for Technical Communication (STC). I am a senior member of that professional society for technical writers and know Catherine personally. I have been a member of the Programs committee under her regime and others as well. She also presented in a couple of my tech comm classes at Eastern Michigan University. Too bad I can't attach a .wav file with the "Twilight Zone" theme!
A new version of the Submit News module has been installed. With this upgrade you can select Photoshare images and insert them into your News submissions.
Just use the 'Insert Image' button under the Article text box when you are adding a news article. A window will open and allow you to select any photo from photoshare to insert into the article.
I have given each user 50 MB of web space for personal photos that may or may not be related to the website. You have full control to add and delete your own photos as well as albums. You can also choose who can view the albums.
So basically we are providing free web space for your personal photos. I hope you all use it!
