[1]Tom's Great Uncle Mueke (Michael McDonald) is his father's namesake. <font size="2">However, brother Daniel (Tom's grandfather) disassociated himself with <font size="2">Mueke after some scandal with the Miner's Union (of which Mueke was <font size="2">president) landed Mueke in jail. He is shown here in custody. Tom's <font size="2">father said that the guards wanted Mueke to try to escape so that they <font size="2">could shoot him! Daniel, who had immigrated to Montana from Ireland, <font size="2">moved to Scotland, changed his name to McDonnell, and waited several <font size="2">years before returning to America, this time to Detroit, Michigan.
