Updating/Merging GEDCOM Databases :: FenrichFamily.com :: Researching Fenrich, Stoner, Doom, Carnahan and Lowe surnames

Attention all Geneologists! We need your updated GEDCOM files.

FenrichFamily.com has joined a fantastic new research website.

The new site is called MyHeritage.com and it automatically makes surmane matches called "Smart Matches".
Smart Matches are people thought to be the same, in your family tree and family trees of other users of MyHeritage.com.
Correct Smart Matches may lead your way to discover new relatives and ancestors!

We have already had a "Smart Match", and are looking forward to many more.

Ideally, we would like to MERGE the LOWE and FENRICH family tree GEDCOM files into one single (acurate) GEDCOM file to submit to MyHeritage.com.

But before we can do this, we will need some work done on the exsisting GEDCOM files. There are numberous errors and inconsistancies that should be corrected. Please contact us for examples of these errors.

So, if you some spare time - please send us your updated GEDCOM files. If you don't know how to do this -just send me an e-mail to cstoner@fenrichfamily.com and I'll be happy to help you out.

Hi Cheryl,
Did you ever get any updated gedcom files from this query? The only way to merge the Lowe (surname, only) is to follow the male Lowes that link to the male Fenrichs. The only linking that takes place from a Fenrich standpoint is when the "female" Lowe (Colleen) linked with the "male" (Donald R. Fenrich, Jr.) Fenrich. Genealogy follows the hard and fast rule of "only the males, generation by generation." Armed with this rule, it is impossible to link the Lowes to the Fenrichs unless a male Fenrich can be found in the Lowe Family History before me.
