Dear Fenrich Family Member,

Here is a compilation of new facts about the Fenrich Family History. They are in no particular order, so you will have to change your Fenrich Family History notebooks by flipping from page to page. I hope to have a GEDCOM file floppy for those of you who have Genealogy Software (please let me know who you are.) I have copies of the records. Anyone who wants copies, send me an email and identify which records you want. Anyway, here goes:

1930 US Census: Bertram Fenrich Sr.(born in Illinois) living with spouse Louise (born in Germany) and children Donald(Sr) and Loraine(sp) in the 16th precinct of Detroit. Their ages were: Bertram, 52; Louise, 51; Donald(Sr.) 23; and Loraine(sp) 10.

1920 US Census: Henry (Heinrich) Fenrich living with spouse Barbara and son GEORGE in the 16th precinct of Detroit. Their ages were: Henry, 66; Barbara, 62 and George 40. Henry was a "car inspector" and worked for the railroad. Barbara had no job (ha!) and George was a "wheel maker" at an "auto wheel shop." (ed. note: Kelsey Hayes Wheel was located within a few blocks of their residence.)

1920 US Census: Berth (Bertram E.) Fenrich (Sr.) age 42, living at 1570 Military Ave., Detroit, Wayne, Michigan with spouse Louise, age 41; daughter Irene, age 20; daughter Charlotte, age 17; son Bertram(Jr.)age 14, son Donald(Sr.) age 13, daughter Ruth, age 11 and daughter Loraine, age 2/12ths (2 months old.) Ed. note: I recall this house as being near railroad tracks, and being warned "not to play on the railroad tracks." I believe that Grandpa Henry Fenrich lived on Dennison St which was right next to railroad tracks. These remembrances coincide with Grandpa Fenrich being a "car inspector" and his son George(?) working at Kelsey Hayes Wheel on Michigan Ave and Military in Detroit.

1910 US Census: Henry (Heinrich) Fenrich living with spouse "Barbara E" and son Elton F and daughter Edna V. Their ages were: Henry, 59; Barbara, 52; Elton, 19 and Edna, 17.

1910 US Census: Bertram E. Fenrich(Sr.)age 33, living with spouse Louise M, age 32; daughter Irene E, age 11; son Russel G, age 09; daughter Charlotte B, age 08; son Bertram E. Jr., age 05; Donald R (Sr.) age 03; and daughter Ruth M, age "WR or MR??"

1900 US Census: Henry (Heinrich) Fenrich, age 48 (born in Germany in August 1851), living with spouse Barbra age 43 (born in Michigan) and son(s) George W, age 21 (born in Indiana, December 1878); Alton F, age 9 (Born in Michigan, Dec 1890; and daughter Edna, age 8, born April, 1892 in Michigan. Living in Detroit at 447 Wesson Ave.

1900 US Census: Bertram E. Fenrich (Sr.) age 23 (born in Indiana in May 1877) living with spouse Louise age 22 (born in May 1878 in Germany) and daughter Irene, age 01, born in Apr, 1899 in Michigan. Living in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan at (unrecognizable number) Norton Street.

Marriage Certificate #26532 (Illinois) between Henry Fenrich,age 25 of Chicago, Cook County and Barbry Boller,age 19 of Chicago, Cook County, issued May 18, 1876. They were married at St. Anthony's Church in Cook County, Illinois on June 22, 1876 by Fr. Fisghor(sp), pastor. This data invalidates the family history sheet indicating that they were married in New York.

Joan Ruth Bourcier (family tree member #53) born 08/05/1932 married John Roy Yurich (born 11/22/1929) on 09/01/1951. They divorced 02/09/1978. Their children are: 1) Gregory John Yurich, born in Detroit, MI on 11/28/1952; 2) Gary David Yurich, born in Detroit, MI on 12/29/1953; 3) Christine Ann Yurich, born in Detroit, MI on 08/31/1955; 4) Mark Allen Yurich, born in Detroit on 12/20/1956; Janet Marie Yurich born in Detroit, MI on 09/19/1958, Carolyn Gail Yurich, born in Detroit, MI on 09/18/1959 and Ruth Ann Yurich born in Detroit, MI on 05/21/1962.

1) Gregory John Yurich married Elizabeth (Betty) Krawczyk (born 12/29/1954) on 04/15/1977. Gregory is an Auto Transporter.

2) Gary David Yurich married Janie Lee Orser (born 03/11/1954) on 09/22/1973. Gary is a Contractor.

3) Christine Ann Yurich married Michael Ray Montgomery (born 09/26/1953) on 07/27/1973 in Detroit, MI. Both are self-employed.

4) Mark Allen Yurich married Jill Root-Smith (born 09/04/1951) on 03/04/1978.in Detroit, MI. Mark is a Minister.

5) Janet Marie Yurich married Craig Marvin Rose (born 06/13/1951) on 02/20/1982 in Detroit, MI. Craig is a Truck Driver. Janet is a Produce Manager.

6) Carolyn Gail Yurich married James Clinton McMicking on 07/15/1983. James is a Consultant.

7) Ruth Ann Yurich is a Teachers Aide

Patricia Ann Bourcier (family tree member #54) born 03/05/1936 married William Edward Braun (born 01/18/1935) on 01/27/1956 in Michigan. Their children are: 1) Arlene Kay Braun born in Michigan on 04/03/1959; 2) Craig Thomas Braun born in Michigan on 05/05/1962; Suzanne Marie Braun born in Michigan on 11/26/1967 and Eric Arnold Braun born in Michigan on 10/02/1969.

1) Arlene Kay Braun married Tobe Klaaren (born in 1958) in August, 1983. They divorced in 1989. They had one child: Nichole Patricia Klaaren (born-20-1986) in New York

1) Arlene Kay Braun married Alton (Butch) Thurston (born 07/26/1956) on 05/24/1991 in New York. They have a daughter, Kayla Lea Thurston (born 09/27/1991) in New York

2) Craig Thomas Braun married Sherry Friend (born 08/24/1965) in Michigan on 08/20/1983. Their children are: Heather bgvJean (born 02/27/1984) in Michigan; Craig Thomas, Jr. (born 04/30/1985) in Michigan and Laura Ashley (born 05/28/1987 in Michigan.

I welcome any and all of you to participate in the Fenrich Family Tree. A family tree traces the beginning, the middle, but never the end of a family until the last male with the family name dies without an male heir. However, any family name (male or female) should be continued for this information may not be used by your kids or your grandkids, but somewhere down the line, someone's going to ask, "Where did I come from?" And they don't want to hear, "why, the stork brought you honey!" Nope, just doesn't work like that anymore. So get involved!
