Father's Day is always a special day, but this year was truly one to remember. Not only were we fortunate enough to have Mom & Dad (Donald R. Fenrich Jr.and Colleen Joyce Lowe Fenrich) here with us from Florida, but we were joined by some old and new friends and family.
For many months now there has been correspondence via e-mail between Don Jr., myself, Judith Fenrich Borrett and her husband Micheal. They were kind enough to arrange their busy "Angeleno" schedules to travel from Redondo Beach, CA to Oceanside, CA and join us for a BBQ.
Judith brought some rare treasures with her... old Fenrich Family photographs that we will scan and post on the site soon. Dad and Judith spent the afternoon pouring over the photos and trying to identify them, not to mention catching up on family stories.
Judith and Micheal's son Micah also joined us... he was really a trooper to spend a beautiful, sunny Southern California Sunday (beach weather!) meeting new family members.
Our wonderful son Brad and his girlfriend Ronda helped us celebrate... what a special Father's Day for Brad... he had his Father and both Grandfathers with him!
Mike Stoner (Ron's father) and his wife Karen were able to join us along with longtime friends and old neighbors from Grand Rapids, Mi - Irene Hallett, Robert Hallet & Family and Keith Hallet who was visiting from Michigan.
A combination of good food and great company can't be beat.
